About Me

Me and my Minions!
Hello, and welcome to my blog. Thank you for reading this. I am what I could call a "when I get around to it" blogger. I have recently got a bug up my bum to change that. I realize after looking at sooooo many other blogs, that if I do it right, it wouldn't take that long to do. Plus, I am hoping it will help me with my crafting, jewelry making, weight lose, and last but not least, sanity.  Now, you have to understand, I have a full time job and four kids (all ages 9 and under). I live in Cypress, TX now. So, needless to say, I am mildly insane and love it all, most of the time.

My Minions!!!

Elena:
9 years old
my "sensitive, logical, loving, and super smart" child

Kiera
7 years old
Aka, Chunky Monkey, but only on the weekends (her words)
My "crazy, adventuresome, loud (the child has no inside voice), sweet, loving" child

Gabriel
5 years old
aka G-Man
My "loner, lover, fighter, I do it myself" child

Nevin
3 months old
aka Chubs
My "I know I am only a baby, but I can play with the big kids" child

Then there is me.

Now to round out the blog I thought I would do a little FAQs.

1. What makes you smile? (Activities, people, events, hobbies, projects, etc.)
My Kids are pretty funny, at least they think they are. I would have to say my biggest hobby is crafting. I love making things. Mainly jewelry, but I like doing recycled crafts. Turning something ugly into something beautiful to display in my home is an amazing feeling.

2. Do you have any tattoos or piercings?
Yes, I have a tattoo on the small of my back, the zodiac symbol for leo. I am a Leo through and through. I also have one on my inner wrist that says "Be Yourself", to remind me to be true to myself and not let anyone tell me or make me feel less about who I know myself to be.  I also have 11 piercings on my ears, one of them on the tragus. I also have my nose pierced, thanks to my lil sis, who wanted a bonding experience with me and that's what she chose. Love it! Probably more to come on all fronts!

3. What activities make you lose track of time?
Lately reading and catching up with friends has become a favorite past time.

4.  What makes you feel great about yourself?
Creating something from nothing, kids included. I joke that I am so crafty, I make people. Also, exercising, and dying my hair. The exercise for obvious reasons, but I have been dying my hair various colors since I was in high school. It has been Ronald McDonald red, with blond streaks in front, green, burgundy, dark brown, and black. I have no idea what my actual hair color is. It is red for now. It covers the gray the best!!!

5. Who inspires you most? (Anyone you know or do not know. Family, friends, authors, artists, leaders, etc.) Which qualities inspire you, in each person?
I get inspired from Pinterest. Its awful I know, but I find ideas from there, and I put my own spin on it. Qualities that inspire? Confidence, Peace-fullness (is that a quality?) the ability to keep your calm during stress (I am not this person)

6. What are you naturally good at? (Skills, abilities, gifts etc.)
Computers, piano, anything electronics or has keys. My kids would say I am good at fixing things. There's four of them, they break alot of stuff, and I fix it.

7. What do people typically ask you for help in?
Computers, I swear I am the back up IT person in my office.

8. If you had to teach something, what would you teach?
I would love to teach jewelry making, beading or polymer clay in particular.

9. What would you regret not fully doing, being or having in your life?
I do regret not finishing my degree, at times, but I really regret not finding my passion for creating. I wish I had gone to art school, or jewelry making school.

10. What do you want to do with this blog?
Get my life in gear. Focus on my kids, myself, and my passion.
